Not digging the seat cover ([redacted]?) but US spec turn signals are always a good sign. I'd say not a bodge. The bar end lights and speedo make me think it's a Japanese bike.

I'd say not a *real* bodge, but FWIW those are not US spec turn signals... on the rear the stems are wrong, on the front there should be holes in the headset for the front signals and they are not there.

That 100 looks to be original paint and most the parts to me .

You're right. The signals should be chrome. Looks like a solid bike.

Can someone please help. I am thinking about buying this Vespa but want to know exactly what it is. I'm having trouble. Is it a Sprinter it looked like a super to me. I know it's probably different parts from different years, like the seat? Lost and need some guidance. New at this and making my first purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like a Super to me, 8" tires. I would be weary of this one.

Super 1965 to maybe 1973? Post some more information. Welcome to the forum. And kudos to you for posting here first BEFORE you buy. Might be saving yourself a big headache.

What is the connection with bodges and two tone paint jobs? Is that just what bodgers consider classically 'vintage' or are bikes with two tone paint jobs easier to sell to unsuspecting buyers?

Two tone paint jobs = S.E Asia stylin', pimp, or whatever you want to call it. If your scoot is your only ride, you want it to stand out from the crowd. I guess.

Seem so. That and the over-abundance of accessories, like a legshield glovebox on every scoot regardless of model or year. People who don't know better have no idea what belongs and what doesn't.

What I can't figure out are the yellow boots. Why oh why yellow boots?

These were once a sought after period correct accessory. Now no one wants them because they scream bodge.

Not a bodge. A plate check shows it was first registered in New Zealand in 1965. Mind you, could be an NZ bodge

I have a restored Vespa Sprint 150.

This was a nut and bolt restoration. There are a few scratches on the front fender ... but nothing major.

I would not call this a show piece ... but a nice useable vespa.

It will need just a little tuning but it does run good and is ready to go.

No lowball offers please. May trade for a nice 4wd ATV.

Never thought I'd compliment another person's "manopole", but those are pretty impressive grips. No wonder bodgers love em. Anti-wear, anti-slip, anti-oxidation, antivibranti! - holy crap, what are they made of, Flubber?

Thanks for the info, there are a lot of potential bodges here in Florida, most of them are Sprints and most have gloveboxes, p centermats and or ill fitted floorboard matts, lml engines and more chrome than a caprice classic in a NWA video.
