Chrome pillion seat base, Piaggio branded chrome crashbars, those stupid Piaggio crest wings, chrome wheel covers, rims painted same color as scooter, looks like chrome gas cap.

Not to mention that vintage chrome pipe...

Forgot the rubber edging on the gas tank. Funny thing is, LMLs all come with that rubber edging on the gas tank in addition to the gas tank gasket underneath. No idea why.

BaliBodges are what dumb drunk Aussies buy when they go out in Bali, then ship to Hong Kong with them, then onto Aust... Then they spend $1k getting th brakes fixed, then ask me to help them replace the motor, which I do, but every other moving part falls off in the interim, causing me stress & wasting my life trying to fix it, only to get it running & on th 2nd lap around th block th headlight stops & clutch plays up so I gotta fuk around more to get it going (without a choke as its broken) before I can get th pile o shit out of my life & never see it again!

Did you buy your bikes in Thailand? If so, how did you find good bikes? I saw some nice bikes and collectable cars in Thailand. Very tasteful stuff.

The first 'Vespa' (a fuked up Indian made VBB) that I bought here I was ripped off badly because of my being new and ignorant to Vespas. I was then referred to a mechanic who showed me everything wrong with it and advised me to try to sell it back to the shop I bought it from. They agreed to buy it back at a loss (for me). The mechanic then found an original GS that was in rough, original, but restoreable condition. It's been all good from then on. Thailand doesn't export nearly the numbers like Vietnam or India. The same mechanic I frequent won't export because he figures that once they're all gone, he'll be out of a job or have to work on bikes he doesn't like, such as the plastic Japanese bikes that are everywhere now.

definitely NOT a bodge. A not so great restoration (they painted all it could be painted and also a lot of things that should have NOT be painted) but it does not have any telltale of a bodge.
At least that I could spot.

Nice scoot , the black panel rubbers may throw you off but otherwise look up and up to me . Sorry I didn't look at the add first . New motor not matching the scooter lowers the price . No way would I pay what the seller is asking .

Good to know. I was eying the same scoot. It is pretty, for sure.

The rebuild on that scoot with original motor would maybe get just a little over $3,000.
