Here are a few pics from a deconstructed bodge a buddy bought without knowing it... there are a few things you can expect and look out for...

Not even good for a artificial reef project on the chance of polluting the ocean. $900 shot to hell. Is there any chance he could sell it to an Italian restaurant for side walk art? If that won't work, maybe take it back to the crook that sold it to him, douse it with gas and toss a lit match at it.

He will consider trade for a boat. So maybe a wrecked boat with paper mache repairs would be fair?

Check out this one... a local guy said that the crank disintegrated at 45 mph. That's right, the flywheel and shaft came out in one piece. That's insane.

I has some experience trying bring V-B's back to earth in Hawaii for awhile, it got real old real fast. The bodies wernt too bad, but the power plants couldn't hold a warrenty in my opinion. I met this guy who had imported a 40 ft container from INDO full of em and kept the best three for himself and sold everyone he met another.
Nothing like taken heat for a bridge salesman.

I nicked this off someones FB page, but it was interesting to see the process of a build... even though it is a Pedal Scoot, I guess the same logic applies to a bodge.

Here' a local one. The picture is even taken at a reputable scooter shop. I wonder what they'd say if you called for their opinion?

Restored in Vietnam

Because the original speedo was yanked because it stopped working from all the mud, leaves, and rain accumulated in it long ago, and it probably ticked over long before that. Oh, and it would be Km, not miles. I'll give you repainted and that's it.

Well it probably contains at least one part of all Vespas, none of which work, plus quite a bit of Vietnamese things, which were all found in the garbage can.

Damn, some of these Bangkok Restos are starting to look good.
Plus they also do PX.

I came across a PX here in town a few years back. Girl bought it for way too much money. Had the same headset, and was white. I cleaned the carb and got it running but she never rode it and let it sit up for long periods. I explained what it was. She had it on craigslist forever trying to sell it. I haven't seen it in years now. Not sure whatever came of it. The underside of the body was completely smooth with bondo and had this textured undercoating stuff. Couldn't see any seams in the body at all. It was a real gem. It was before smartphones were really prevalent and camera phones kind of sucked so I never took pics of. Wish I had.

Up for Sale is this completely restored beautiful 1968 Vespa.

This is a 150cc, 4 speed. Scoot has the extended chrome package with the side rails, front and back luggage/tire racks.

It is a truly awesome piece of machinery! Great looks. 1 Kick bike. Runs like a champ!!!

Either he took it off Gumtree or it is sold already to some poor schmuck. Sigh.

I'm not 100% but I spent a lot of time in Thailand and vintage Vespa's were the hobby for the more affluent and Thais have a tendency to do it right when the acquire money. Was that racist? I could be wrong.
