Am I right? Two tone seats, Vespa "logo" on the spare tire cover - cheap looking trim and crash bars. Vietnamy flat spot for license plate?

Maybe this is a completely legit bike but good lord it's hideous... and $18k??
wrong.

that is completely legit and probably worth damn near that asking price.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all that.

you know what bugs me the most?

the ad.

you're asking 3500 for a bike, provide zero-point-zero info on it and you've got 5 pictures of it from the same side, c'mon son!

funny thing is, some poor sap will buy this and i'd be *lucky* to get 2K for my "roached out" super-mule or TV.

such as it is...

don't know what a super mule is

but a TV as in TV175 or a TV200 ?
you would get a LOT more for that here, very sought after.

As flying the flag upside down is a sign of distress, perhaps it tells you everything you need to know about that particular scooter

the "super-mule" is a 74 super that i use as a test bed for engine tuning and development as well as fork swaps. currently it's sitting with a bajaj anti-dive fork and a P2 motor with some "massaged" parts.

it's a TV175, 64

Ok, I contacted the owner about six months ago about this scoot and asked for few more pictures. He sent me a dozen. It seems to be in very good shape, but the price was more than I was willing to pay. Also, at the time, he had it up for $2100, not $3000, so there must be some wiggle room there. There are parts from different models on the scoot and I don't know why it is referred to as a '64 Sprint, but if I was looking for one,I think it would be worth it to check out in person.

That's not a bodge. Looks like a real VBA with correct accessories. The extra turn signals and side markers are probably add-ons through the years.

I think I've spotted my first local bodge. With the scooter community in Cleveland so active, you wouldn't think this could happen here...

So, this ad is pretty thin on details, but the scooter in question features two-tone paint, low mileage as indicated by the odometer, and rear reflectors conveniently placed to cover up square license plate mounting holes.
