Look at this damn thing. I took a double take at first then realized what it really is. It's a bodge with "patina".

Btw, the p200e turned out to be too big for me. I'm a 5'1 petite female and couldn't reach the ground. So I'm moving on to who knows what exactly. The Super has been recommended and also a small frame.

That one looks like a legit US market Super.

Those are rare in the US. They imported a lot from 1974-77, but not many prior.

Original color, run in sticker, suicide levers, grey cowl rubber and grips, period (US market?) taillight that was also on 180ss, badges.

From the photos, it looks very original. If it's not, it was a careful factory-style restoration. It's in great shape.

Given the plate, I'd be willing to bet it's original.

Thanks! I finished it last summer, and haven't ridden it! The aftermarket wiring had issues...

Hopefully I'll get it going this month!

I was referring to the stool. It does have the perfect striping for that matching look with the bodge of your choice Razz emoticon

Not only a roundtail, it has the rare fanny pack tool box too - one year only I think. Nice...

Let's see... 3200 for the scoot, sell the authentic hi end ugly accessories and get a nice Gran Sport for what? 2000? 2500? Probably more like 3000. Plus shipping.

It's still a GS 160 Mk1. Looks like it's all there, save for the motor.

They did something weird with the VIN. Stamped one starting with PIA. The Piaggio VIN says it's a 1962 Mk 1, but the numbers look a little misshapen.

If any bodge is worth salvaging...

Few known things normally seen on scooter from SEA.
1) The steering column above the tool box and the steering lock has chrome collar.
2) headlight unit from China.
3) cheap make logo plate frame in front.
4) solid chrome floor rail
5) Baja engine
6) chrome everywhere
6) cheap repo speedo

My uncle took this picture at his work and tagged me in it on Facebook. Oh boy the ignorance that people express when it comes to a old looking bike with a pretty paint job.... He said "Megan what is this?" My response was a terrible bike and I hope that they are taking it to the dump. I don't think he was expecting that answer, but I would have hoped that if he knew those people were shopping for a Vespa that he would have told them to contact me before throwing their money away on that garbage. I mean this girl loves PINK.... but I hate this pink bike with a passion and I don't even know who owns it.

good list, and bodgy as hell!

Also note the shape of the crashbars and the way the ones on the cowl attach direct to the cowl instead of to the body, this a huge but very subtle tell (till you learn to spot it).

the two tones paint has to be special order from Piaggio manufacture in the early 60.

sample of de-bodge effort. If you pay enough money, someone (I wont mention the name) will help... I've seen this bike before it's an almost but not quite.
