That is true at least maybe if it had the two tone bright colour it would be more pleasing to the eye

They're not always so obvious but I believe I've spotted one here.

Yep, I still see the holes on the cowl to mount those crash bars and the chrome above the steering column lock...

True dat. As if the glovebox on the legshield and the 10" setup on an 8" bike weren't giveaway enough...
in its defense, it seems to have some miles on it, but you'd still never know which mile was going to be its last. |

Sadly, dealership is selling this piece of junk.
I highly doubt they checked the frame and the engine. ~400miles may not be enough to see the flaws. ![]() ![]() |

The blue bike almost looks legit except the glovebox. But yeah, the chrome collar on the fork column clinched it for me. More typical shiny chrome on the leggy trim, rear seat tray and the front spring.

That front fork looks just like the 8" Bajaj front fork I put on my VBB. That's not the ginormous Bajaj leggy glovebox, though.

I wonder if that dealership includes those nifty wood kickstand blocks with all of their bikes? Anyone know where I can buy one of those without the bike? I'm going to check Amazon right away.

eBay item number:
192594358739 This Ebay seller has the nerve to say in his copy the bike is not from Vietnam. Please..... "Someone asked me when I listed this Vespa before if it was imported from Vietnam, it was not." It walks like a duck.... "I bought the scooter from a guy in Tennesee, it was in perfect condition except that it had a bad stator and coil. Rather than messing with that right away I bought and installed a brand new LML 150cc engine which has 0 miles on it at this time. As you can see, the frame is in perfect condition, the tires are new, everything about this scooter is new. I put in a new 12v wiring loom from SIP but didn't have the wiring diagram and haven't been able to wire the handlebar switch right so, no lights yet. Also, I wanted to change the steering lock but can't get it to fit. Those are the only two problems with this scooter. You may have to make an adjustment or two to the idle screw and clutch and brake cables, maybe not." It looks like a duck, It even has Yellow feet! Should this item be reported? ![]() ![]() |

LOL.
We've got to believe him. His Vespa has SIP and Vespa Club USA stickers. He replaced the engine. Stator/Coil issues are simple stuff and he didn't want to mess with it instead willing to replace engine and electrical stuff. It means the old one was so junk he couldn't even fix it. For a long time I see a bodge is this low in pricing given the fact it has SIP LML150 engine. ![]() |

![]() This is so attractive and the ad says it has a 4 speed auto & LOW MILAGE 676. But you'll have to really step up to own this two tone beauty, $5500 worth. Maybe could swing it if I sold 3 of mine.... https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/d/1965-vespa/6664707096.html |

Oh my god, I need psychological help after looking at all these. I've not looked at this thread for awhile, and then it all comes up like a sudden rush of vomit after a pound of oily onion rings and a quart of tequila.

I especially like that the Craigslist post reads,
"1965 Vespa runs, in good condition. 4 speed auto.. Tags non- op LOW MILAGE 676. Custom paint job asking $5500 or OBO. If interested call or text only email will not be replied to. no bullshiters no scammers trying to pay with check and send shipping company cash only!!!!" "do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers" contact name: Jerry call or text: ☎ (559) 731-5099 Does that mean we can't contact Jerry with helpful advice to light it on fire and push it off a cliff? Or too visit Modern Vespa before he purchases another? |
