Rawhide is an organization for troubled youth that gets lots of non op things donated gets them sort of working and sells them on to fund program. Because of Bart Starr it is a big deal in Wisconsin.
This probably came in that way and some staffer valued it.
They are a legit organization that generally just deals in cars, trucks, motor homes and boats.

Those must have been 74 HARD kilometers.
Yep. Sounds like seller got a new near DOA scoot.

Good thing seller disclosed the info.

I'm not judging Rawhide. I know who they are. Just posted here as FYI.

Saying "two tone paint" is an instant identifier of a bodge is extremely misleading info for newbie. Yes, many of the Nammers are over-the-top two-tones, which experienced people can spot instantly, but there are also many thousands of scooters out there with some less garish two-tone paint jobs that have never been to Asia.

The way I look at it is that while it might not be an outright indicator like, say, evidence of multiple frames from different models of scooters having been welded together, it's highly correlative to bodginess, sort've like 10" wheels on an 8" bike.

Sure, there are plenty of two-tone non-bodges and non-bodged 10" VBB's out there, but on a scooter that also has a number of other obvious indicators, it adds weight to the assessment.

+1. Assessment as bodge is based on multiple aspects to make final conclusion.

Beside that, there are some de-bodged scoot floating around as well. De-bodge means seller removed the obvious like chrome crash bar, star wheel hub cover, signal lights, power switch by the choke, wheel rack, yellow boot, added original speedo, replaced floor mat, replaced seat...

These sellers most likely claimed they restored the de-bodged bike. I always ask some more details to expose them.

The crashbars. not the fact that it has them, but those specific ones on the cowls and fender. Remember the shape of them, the thinness of them, the fact that they attache direct to the cowl, lacking all function...

Those bars are a bad caricature of the real thing.

"restored to original condition".

A Sprint with a VBB motor but 10" wheels is "original"?
His description says they are 8" wheels though.
Clearly he has no idea WTF he is selling. Does have the yellow boots!

1965 Vintage Vespa 150 Super - $2100 (Downtown Daytona)

Here is a vintage VESPA that I have owned for years... Planned on a restoration but life changes
force me to sell.. It is a very rare bike with the "handle bar" front end on a VBB chassis.... It is made that way.
I have done a ton of research and I have determined it to be an AMCA style bike probably made in France.
Do your research. It is a unicorn!! Ran when parked about 3 years ago.. could get it to run and drive as-is or a great candidate for a restoration project.. Questions please call.. The bike can be viewed most anytime.
Clean Fl title in my name.. can not remember if it is titled a 65 or a 62. Has an Italian plate on the rear.
The chassis number is VBC1T 26139
The engine number is VBC1M 26179
holly smoke since when a Nam plate became Italian plate or VBC became ACMA. Sounds to me he has tried to restore and got scared with the junk.
The paint is peeling off. Looks like they are using normal paint to paint the exhaust.

That one most likely originally came from the now defunct website www.YourVespa.com ...and the still operational http://yourvespa.tumblr.com/ a bodge importer in NY. they work with someone in Nam to make them a certain way trying to look as not bodge as possible. I owned the Amaranto colored 69 Sprint on that page and the electrical system, gearbox and clutch were garbage. It was a nightmare. I got a $750 refund from them right off the bat then put that money right back into it THEN took a $1000 loss on it when I sold it but made that back on Wall St. That was my Bodge lesson. I have a good US restored VBB now but the garbage LML engine I bought for it was yet another nightmare.

My 2 years worth of classic vespa nightmares= if you want a classic Vespa, first learn about bodges. Then learn about engines. Anything Vietnam+India= garbage.

Then, get at least $7500 ready and get a good one. Classic anything doesn't come cheap, you get what you pay for. My 2 cents.

My 2 cents.
"...but made that back on Wall St."

Ah, see that was my mistake. I didn't make a bunch of money on Wall St.

That one is a bit tough for the untrained eye. They did a great job, debodging it...
If it wasn't for the obvious tell tale sign on a bodge, I'd have to find a real expert
to look it over. It's actually a nice bike from afar.
Totally, a newbie wouldn't be able to tell bodge or not. Redo a VBB to a Sprint was popular in Nam.
Neither did I, I made my $1000 back....on legal Cannabis stock....or am I stupid for that too?
