This is not the first one I've seen where they paint and filler is just shedding in sections.

Looks like they stamped a new VIN, too.

What's the new stamped VIN supposed to be?

A way to fool the unwary, I suppose. But the poster admits that he does not know what he has for sale.

Here: https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/mcy/d/utica-1957-vespa-125-restored-as-150/7292847676.html

Sadly, the black one looks like it's probably from the same source.

well, i just had the current owner of the "SS180" call me about getting his bike going. New owner now lives in the Chicago area. I had to break the news to him that the bike is not what he thinks it is. He sent me a bunch of photo's and it is clear this is a Sprint and the crazy thing is both the motor and chassis is stamped as SS180 which it is not.

Bummer Jonathon.

I got a bodge running for my wife's friend Lisa, or actually her husband Keith. He is a big car guy and bought this thing and welded a nipple on the tank, then put in a racing fuel tap and fuel filter. I removed the filter and voila, it runs consistent.

I gave him the bad news about the entire bike, and walked over it in detail with him. Then explained that I cannot work on it for him because it's too much of an unknown. He understood and thanked me profusely for getting it running consistently.

Some serious money was paid for it too. Itís one thing to create a replica, itís another to restamp different VINís altogether.

At only $6800 for this stylish ride, I don't think that ad will last long at all, so I'm posting a pic of said dope windscreen for posterity.

Any thoughts on this one folks?

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/4114367995297280/

Apparently the owner cut the holes in the engine cover and converted it to 10Ē wheels himself but he doesnít know much about its history.

Thanks for any feedback.👍

Come on, the special yellow stand boots ( which may not even be available any more) and the glove box door seal must certainly add something to the value. And how about the sticker on the gas cap in Italian ? Doesn't that prove it is real ?

Bodge spotted in Cruella.

Saw it in theater so I couldn't pause it and get better look at it. This is the only photo I can find online. It appears to possibly be a VNB, but with P hubs. Would love to get better angles cause it was definitely more prominent in a few shots as her sidekick, the guy from I Tonya and Richard Jewell, was restoring it in a few scenes.

the accessories are an interesting mix from 3 decades, but are all original and not bodgey at all. can't tell about the bike from that picture. clearly VBB/VNB-ish with 10 in wheels but beyond that can't see anything out of place.

Somewhere I've seen a brief clip of someone (presumably Cruella) doing a donut / burnout on that thing. At least, that's what I see in my head. I am starting to question if I really saw it or not.

Listing it for a price is greatly different than selling it for that price.
