I passed on that one back then because it didn't have the cooler seats and the backrest. |

I am first time poster to this forum and the proud new owner of a perfectly restored 1966 Vespa Sprint 150!. I am a little concerned about that non-OEM headlight......and to be honest, what sounds like a handful of rocks in a coffee can sound coming from the rear end when I start it. Any thoughts?" ![]() |

Q: Can you please post pictures of the underneath including bolts and brackets for the center stand? Thnks, Al A: Sorry AL, Traveling for the next seven days. My Vespa is in Arizona I'm in Michigan visiting family. Q: Is there any chance this scooter came from Viet Nam? My reason for asking: https://baritaliaclassics.com/___tech_08.html There are several attributes about this bike that would lead someone to believe this not an Italian Vespa. A: Are you asking because you are interested in buying it, or are you just being a scrutineer? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I have given all the information that I have for this Vespa. I have owned and enjoyed seeing it for many years. It sat in my office when I was not using it. Sometimes these are restored by people who get the parts that are available at the time - whether the boots are black or yellow. The engine and frame numbers are both from 1966 Vespa Super 150's. BE KIND! |

A part of me wonders if the type of person who would buy any vintage motorscooter from Hemmings is even interested in ever riding it. Perhaps the potental buyer just has too much money and just wants something shiny to look at while hanging out in their garage? If that's the case, then more power to them to scoop up those yellow booted beauties.

I am pretty sure the reserve was not met when Mr. Gonzalez bid $7800 a week ago. Gonna make a nice sculpture in someone else's office.
On another note... what difference does it make which way the swing arm bolt goes ? I'm not sure but I think those floor covers just drape over the tunnel. |

It looks like the owner lives in the desert, but even so, I'd have expected a few spots. And I actually don't have an issue with the cap nuts on the motor--that's really a matter of personal preference so long as they're deep enough and you torque them correctly. I used them on my wheel nuts for a while before I switched over to just using nylock's. |

For that kind of money, you'd think they could've painted the numbers on the speedo all the same size.
