Somthing going on with the rubber market, I've been waiting to get a Dunlop E3 for my Harley for 2 months now. I was told they were on Back Order.

Pretty much what the article says is true. The raw materials for tires have been on a bit of a roller coaster, plus gauging uncertain demand. All the manufactures have been having trouble.

I know I'm having a tuff time getting the tires want, all we can do to offset the price is to buy stocks in rubber and the products that make it.

Heck don't do that! That will just drive the price up more!

True, I guess its important for people to know the reasons things happen and not just drag a small shop or company down things are bad all over for everyone from parts makers to small shops things that were off the shelf items are now only being made when a large order can be filled.

Ive been to Scooterworks and ordered online from them i think theyre a great bunch of folks. Never had any issues with scooterwest or motorcucle superstore for tires ( I think) either.

Anyone have any idea how many miles you'll get out of those tires?

Im due for a front tire and the dealer ( ) put a new sava on the back so Im thinking of a new SET maybe Heideau or Metzler or michellins.

Hello,
Tire wear is very subjective. In general though, the K61's get great mileage then the K66 and K58 in that order. But I keep hearing stories of folks getting a lot more from them than I expect.
As Louisq mentioned I am trying to make some room in the warehouse. I'm selling the tires listed below for $28 EACH! while supplies last.
Just contact the shop.

K50 3.00-10

K58 100/80-10
K58 110/70-11
K58 120/70-12
K58 130/70-12
K58 140/70-12

K62 130/70-11

K66 140/70-16
K66 150-70-13
K66 120/70-15

K72 110/70-16

Before Lady Lumps, there was Lady BUMP!
Deal BUMP.

Today I ordered a pair of Heidenau K-58's from John at Moto Amore: 140/70 rear and 130/70 front.

$28 each.

It feels like stealing.

Its my fourth rear K-58 and second up front. Great tires for wet conditions and the occasional dirt or gravel. Solid on the highway.

It's a genuine deal if you're looking for new rubber, and John is a pleasure to do business with.

John is definitely a stand-up guy. And, as said, he's a one-man operation.

If you can, call him on the phone, direct.
I did as Jess suggested--called on the phone yesterday around closing time, told him I wanted a pair of Heidenau Snoetex tires for the GTS, he took my info and said they would ship today--just under $190 for two tires and shipping.

Having read this thread before calling I expected problems but what I got was LL Bean style service.
