So I was at Vespa dealer today (Motorworks Chicago) who has recently become a Triumph dealer, picking up parts and I saw this bike. I have long known and admired Triumphs , especially the speed Triple. Today though, I saw a 2010 SE in white and red with everything blacked out. STREETFIGHTER.

This bike is the HOTTEST thing on 2 wheels bar-none. I am seriously starting to think about adding one to the stable. I miss the speed of a sport-bike and the ability to hoist the front-end for hooliganism. I can't get it out of my head.

I know Ducati has a similar paint-job on a lot of their bikes but it never looked this good. I put a scaled=down pic and it does the bike no justice.

If I had the kind of immaculate garage that doubled as a man-cave and living room (where I spent most of my time) as well as the bank account to back it up, I'd love one just for eye candy. That aside, I have no business on the back of something like that.

Stunning bike, a work of art and pure naked performance. A Daytona 675 passed me this afternoon - nothing comes close to the sound of a triple. I have a lot of respect for all things Triumph. If I'm not mistaken Triumph is the only manufacturer selling triples in north America. What a shame.

By sheer coincidence, I saw this identical Street Triple today (for you - yesterday / Thursday from this side o' the date line) while I was in my dealer's shop getting a new farkle attached to my BMW R1200R.

WOW was pretty much my reaction, too. I've always thought the Street Triple was pit-bull-ugly (and I tell my mate who rides one so) but the red / white stripe makes it a different animal. I was so taken with the colour scheme I failed to notice the blacked-out parts. (but I do like the Ducati as well).

.. also saw the new Thunderbird in the metal for the first time. It just didn't work for me. When I was walking past I saw the Triple and had the same reaction you did.

... oh, and I like the Bonnie, too. Guzzi V7 is my favourite retro, closely followed by the Bonneville (and my little sister rides one).

That bike is gorgeous. I'd go as far as to say that's my favourite bike you can buy out of the showroom. It's little sister is pretty hot too.

Killer bike! An older--but still very cool--version sometimes parks next to me in the garage at work and...wow...hard to stop staring at that thing. Great proportions and that double headlight is the shizzle.

With Triumph the release of an SE model means they are going to release an all new version the following year.
I'd hate to buy one and find out in 6 months it's soggy toast compared to the new one.

It is pretty though.

I really like that SE. It's hot! My back just can't handle a bent-over riding position, so if I happen to win the lottery, I'm going with this 2008 Speedmaster for sale on my local Craigslist.

I'll have to reread the posting guidelines, but I think the Thruxton is understood in any thread that mentions modern Triumphs (and, of course, the same goes for any thread that mentions vintage Trumpets, too).

Love the look of the Speed Triples but think at my age I'll stick to the Tiger I have. I would love to see that SE triple though.

Very nice, but I have my eye on these:

http://www.royalenfield.com/Motorcycles/classic-500.aspx

http://www.royalenfield.com/Motorcycles/classic-350.aspx

Either one would do me nicely.

Roose, I have owned 2 Royal Enfields in the past both the old iron barrel 4 and 5 speed 500cc classic's. Nice bikes but a well tuned Vespa 250-300 will leave them in the dust. They are very tempermental aka Ride-Wrench-Repeat. Although from what I hear the new UCE(ones you like) are much better quality.
