After more than 2 months riding the subway while saving up for a crankshaft replacement (don't ask) I'm FINALLY back in the seat.
Not only does it feel like I got my scooter back, but more like I got my city back. Everything is easy and accessible at the twist of the throttle again!
It's amazing how much use I get out of my GT. I kept putting off errands until I got it back that are a breeze to do now.
Lessons learned:
1) Make double sure the belt is fully engaged in the clutch pulley before installation.
2) No more thread lock on the variator nut. The crankshaft threads were shot from using this stuff.
Glad to be back in the seat!
