Thanks, Monit!! Sounds like some pretty easy DIY stuff. I already have primer and a Krylon that matches my GTV very well, so I'll just need to prep and gloss it.
I'm not sure I'm up for taking the glovebox off to get to the "gills," but the bits that you just sprayed with chrome paint look a lot better than I would expect. I'll add that to my to-do list!
I need to do a lot more riding before the weather turns cold again, but these sound like some great and relatively easy winter projects for me. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!

You can easily pull stuff off and put back on your scooter, just make a start. When removing stuff simply get a pen and pad and as you remove items (including nuts, bolts and screws) write it down in detail and MARK EVERYTHING. Then simply reverse the process when done. The rule of thumb with Vespa is that A LOT more needs to be removed than just the bit you want. I bought a manual as well which was fantastic. I got mine from User Friendly CD's on eBay USA. I put it up on my cloud and when in the garage I use my iPad to view what I need at the time, very handy. I did the same with the parts manual and the spares guys love me when ordering stuff.
