Modern Vespa

I just recently noticed a 2-wheeled version of the MP3 called the MP2.I can't quite figure out if this is a concept or if Piaggio is actually going to produce it.From trendgadget.net reads:

"Piaggio is keen to increase its commitment in GT scooter segment. Next year, in addition X10 could also reach the Piaggio MP2, two-wheeled version of the popular MP3. If the debut X10 seems less likely, the MP2 could become reality because, most likely, will be presented at the Salone in Milan before being introduced in 2011.

The range of Piaggio MP2 may be composed of 125 and 300 versions siding the XEvo 400. The latter should give way to the new model in 2012 that may be just the MP2 400. The main feature of Piaggio MP2 are the wheels with a diameter of 15 inches that will put the new scooter as a cross between the Vespa GTS and Beverly. Moreover, the Piaggio MP2 will be in direct competition with the Japanese Yamaha X-Max and Honda PCX"

Sounds like complete BS to me. But this is Piaggio...

If it is true, and I hope not, the two-wheel version isn't as appealing as the thee-wheeled version. The MP3 is unique, the MP2 would not be.

I have really high expectations of the next three wheeler. Both mechanically and in the design.

I like it, I like it(not to buy). With all the storage features of the MP3. Does Vespa/Piaggio make any other scooter with the storage layout of the MP3 ?

I think this picture on an official Piaggio print seems to incorporate the grill of an MP3. I had to Photoshop the two halves together as they were on two seperate pages.
