Modern Vespa

Really, been a summer of riding shifties and I haven't been on an auto Vespa in awhile. I took the better halfs 250 to get inspected this morning and it was featherbed comfortable. My backside was in heaven.

Nice change of pace...

The GTS 250 has a pretty decent seat, if you liked it, you should try a GT 200's seat, very nice.

But how does the GTS feel about your butt?

The GTS seat seems to be up to the long haul, for me. I think after a while your butt just gets use to the position.........the more you ride the less it hurts.

Seats that are on the firm side make for more comfort on long rides, but don't do well on the show room floor.

Don't know why, but I find myself sitting pretty far back on my 250. In fact, my butt straddles that ridge that divides the driver section from the passenger. Fortunately, the seat is soft enough (and my butt's fat enough) that I don't feel it. But I don't feel comfortable riding my scoot sitting forward and upright in the position that the seat seems to demand. I'm average height, by the way, 5'10". So it's not a height issue. I just like stretching out a bit. Tried to ride sitting forward yesterday and I almost fell over. Not only do I look like a dork, I lose all sense of balance.
