Okay so I have previously kitted my 50 and 125 scooters and am thinking about putting the 190 kit on my 150ie, but, not too sure what I need to do in the fuel department? Previously I've changed the jets with carbs but what does one do to fuel injection? it all looks so modern and scary...

This was discussed a bit a few months ago, and IIRC the consensus was that the efi computer should automatically provide the correct mixture. However, if the controller considers the operating parameters to be outside its "normal range" you may get a "check engine" warning light.

Haven't seen a report from anyone who's actually kitted a 150ie yet. I'll be interested in hearing about your results.

yes, the pipe has the sensor. was speaking to my local scooter shop and they had a customer who welded the sensor connector to a pm pipe, the pipe cracked (unrelated to the welding) and he did the same process to a GPR pipe and has been happy with it since.

I've got an LXV150ie showing up in about a week, and I'll probably leave it alone until it is out of warranty. I've had such great fun with my kitted 2007 carbed LX150, though, I'll probably be very tempted to kit the injected scooter as well eventually. I think I'll wait, though, until I've read a little about the experiences of others. I tend not to be an "early adopter" (even though I also have a Stella 4T on order Laughing emoticon ).

Should be fine then. Injection will compensate based on sensor feedback vs fixed map.

It should be alright, although the ECU will only adjust the mixture to a certain point before it runs out of tolerance and flags the warning light up... if its having to constantly add 15% extra fuel compaired to its normal map it will think somethings wrong and go into "limp" mode and illuminate the light..

The injector itself, is the same as the GTS300 so it can deliver enough fuel, its down to how much % above normal the ECU will allow without flagging a warning light... luckily its not like 2 strokes, if it cant adjust enough it will let you know before it does harm, not after a siezure. 8)

Try it and see what happens.

From threads on here, I got the impression that no upjetting on the main was done for the carbed models with the 190 kit. If this is the case, would think there is plenty of "headroom" with the injection.

This is at least the third thread to ask this question. Somebody needs to step up and be the ginny pig for the benefit of the MV community.
