Nice! I definitely like the last position the best, though I think you might need to move the camera up slightly so that it doesn't protrude into your lean angle...

cool
I ride an '08 gt 200, I suppose I could put it on the front fender, since, I don't have the chrome piece, but I personally like the helmet mounting, cuz, I often see weird shit, while riding, and would want to capture that. Most of the time that comes from a sideways glance,so a bike mount wouldn't work. Thanks for the vid, that helped a lot! 8)

If you keep overtaking on the right side like you do in the video you'll get a good scare one of these days.

Yeah the last one was the best. What scraped on that last turn?
What kind of camera and mount were you using and could you post a pic of it? |

This looks very promising, though not sure about any of the three positions. On your helmet it's weird to move with every movement of your head, like, too much in your head while riding (glad you looked both ways at intersections!). The cowl position would be ok if not for the distraction of your leg all the time already! The low position was kinda cool, but then looking up folks tailpipes seemed, well, a bit obscene. I guess the magic is to have part of the scooter visible to add drama and a sense of place to the video, but is there a good place for that to happen? Maybe the ol' mounting on the handlebars or instrument panel may be the best, still. What kind of mount let you change positions like that, anyway? Is it a suction cup?

I'm still working on the perfect spot to mount it. When I initially set up the "leg shot" I was hoping to miss my leg completely, obviously that didn't work. The camera I have is the Contour HD
http://pointofviewcameras.com/vholdr-contourhd-1080p-megapack.html And the mount is the windshield mount which is a suction cup so it can be moved all over the bike. It is a large (4") cup so I can't attach it to the side of the faring. This would be another ideal shot as well. The sound at the end of the video is my center stand scraping, always scares me but makes me giggle afterwards. |

Maybe it is the bare leg vs the geared leg that makes the difference. It is a cool angle. Jess do you know who was on the MP3 right at the beginning?
