One thing I wish that my LVX150 had sometimes is a clock. Most of the time I am just riding around and dont really care about the freaking time. But often I am on my way somewhere and I have to reach for my cellphone to make sure I am on time. As anyone installed a clock on their lxv? Do you know something that would look good, those glue on digital plastic little boxes are not an option? The ideal would be an small analog clock that could be mounted next to the instrument panel and would not interfere with the minimalist look of the lxv. Any ideas?

Check the catalog of any motorcycle accessory supplier. There are a bunch of nice analog clocks available that clamp to "naked" handlebars.

I have the same problem on my LXV. As soon as I get home tonight, I am ordering that lovely device. Thanks for posting!

This was a previous thread After market clocks ?

I've still to get one but have since sourced the same thing from a UK supplier.

There seems to be enough room on the left side of the handlebar for a clock. I'm going to get one and try the fit on the right side. If there's space I'll get the matching thermometer which will be useful for winter.

Anybody getting the billet type for an LXV, post pics

Do you know the handlebar size for our LXVs? The options are 7/8", 1" or 1 1/4" ? I'd go measure but I'm not with my scooter and I would love to order tonight.

Sorry my friend, ZZZ time over here

I measured mine before. With the string round the handlebar the circumference was just slightly over 2.75" so the nearest equivalent to a 7/8" handlebar.

They look great, and have a wider range of mount options. Snag is the billet type mount seems to only come in a 1" so would need packing out. Also XLR8 said in the other thread

I have owned two of the Formotion clocks and they both broke within a year. You can easily change the battery in the Formotion clock.

I recently bought one of the Clocks for Bikes and it has a back that requires a very special tool for removal. It is not even remotely similar to the back of the Formotion clocks. I have a ton of tools and am very mechanically minded but I will not attempt to remove the back from this clock unless I can find a reasonably priced tool that is made specifically to remove it.

The clock from C4B's comes with a three year warranty so I think that it is probably a much better clock than the ones from Formotion. Personally, I would not buy another clock from Formotion.
Scootchef, you're likely to get one before me. Waiting on pay day Please let us know how you get on with it.

And I'm delighted for you. All I was doing was pointing out another user's different experience. The fact remains that they only supply a 1" billet C mount, which on the LXV bars would need packing out.

The absolute nicest people at Clocks for Bikes
Yay!!! I just ordered a clock and a thermometer from Clocks for Bikes. I had a question about the handlebar size so I called instead of ordering online. Just an FYI - I spoke with Linda at C4B and she told me that if you phone rather than use online ordering, they will discount your mechanism and give you free shipping. She said that since they don't go to many trade shows anymore, they miss talking with people so they welcome the calls. I asked if I could mention the discount on MV and she said "YES"! She is shipping today. I will post pictures when I have them installed. I have not done business with someone so pleasant in a long time

What about a watch? Does anyone have these anymore? I had a large collection of Swatch watches and some other similar types that I've let go into disrepair and revived a couple of my favorites after buying the LXV. It took a while to get used to wearing one again but if you wear gloves then I guess it would cover up a watch

Exactly the problem, especially with winter gloves

My Timex "Ironman" is 18 years old and keeps time to the second per year. I swim with it and hot tub with it. Maybe small zip ties could attach it to the bars?
