Yepp you read that correctly.

While on my way to the super market this afternoon, i decided to take the longer way through the country so i could open her up abit.

Anyway... on a narrow straight i was going about 50-55mph when i noticed a women walking her dog with her back to me at my side of the road.. i slowed down as i dont think she heard me behind her...
The dog was on one of those extendible cord leads.

Anyway i slowed down to about 30 to pass her quite wide, then she turned around and screamed as the dog decided to jump out at me. i breaked and the dog actually jumped on the footplate and slipped off (must of been doing about 10mph at this time).

Anyway once i had stopped and the women had controlled her dog and she couldent apolagise enough. I think she expected me to go insane with her but i said its ok as no damage was done to me, my bike or the mutt

I Think if i had of hit this thing at 30 i would of come off worse... it was like a horse

rules for the kiddies
She was walking on the wrong side of the road!

This is one of the basic rules we were taught as nippers. If walking on a country road where there is no footpath, walk on the shoulder on the right hand side so that you are facing the oncoming traffic. (Apply appropriate translations for those in america and europe).
She would have seen you coming and so would have controlled her dog. Tell her that next time you see her.

Those extendable leads are dangerous. Especially if you're waling a horse like that.

Glad it worked out OK. Hopefully she'll walk facing traffic in future, and lock the lead.
