Huh? Still looking for the why you stated in your title. Is this a language barrier or are you just trolling? Weird first post whatever.

I'd have to say that I'm over 40 because of good clean living and being careful.
Although I did almost get clipped this morning... |

Do not believe it is a majority of age, last time I saw a counting, it seemed almost split above and below 40! For the same ball park pricing, a faster two wheeler can be had, it is a style choice.

I agree with hollybry. We gave and gave to our kids until they grew up and didn't get much for ourselves. Now it's OUR turn to get the toys.

I'm 28, so not the youngest rider but well under 40. I love my MP3. In fact, I traded my Harley for it, partly because I didn't ride it very much but mostly because I really don't like (or fit, or want to fit) the stigmas attached to owning a Hog. So, when my Yamaha Vino 125 got stolen, I decided to get something that was somewhere in-between the 2 bikes. I hoped that the extra wheel would help me extend the riding season a bit...

I was going to say because we're wise enough not to respond to an obvious troll, but I guess I have to shelve that one.
So I will respond with: during one week on Paris, I saw over one thousand MP3s on the road and I doubt I saw fifty of them being driven by anyone over 30 years old. If the question was "why most members of ModernVespa with MP3s are over 40" then the question might be defensible; but since the factual basis of the premise is suspect, then any logical argument deriving thereof is invalid as well. (I presume that all of the retired seniors here haven't gone so senile from banging their heads into their walkers that they can't remember Aristotelean syllogisms from school.) |

I think we bought the MP3 because we couldn't find the Fountain of Youth and the MP3 was the next best thing!

I have a whole year before I'm over 40 . I do agree about the not shifting part - that is one of my personal favorites

Why do I ride a Fuoco? Because I'm an arse, I can't behave on a bike, my last bike (Kawasaki ZZR1200) was an insurance write off 3 times in one year, I have done 5 countries in one day, I have rode the Loch Lomond circuit so many times I cant remember, I have thundered through Glen Coe dozens of times, every ride was full pelt arse oot stuff and I saw nothing but the next car, bike, corner. Scotland, England, Germany, Holland, Fr*nce, Belguim, Luxemburg & all the rest they were the same tarmac and concentration and the quest to get as close to 200MPH as I could. In my defense I did try to behave IE I would pack the Pentax with real intentions to get some early morning / late evening Loch Lomond / Glen Coe piccies BUT ten miles into the trip the bike took control and orf I went again.
Why do I ride a Fuoco? Because I had to change before Oor Ann was planting me or the insurance companies black balled my arse. Anyhoo, my first love was a "big" scoot Honda C90 way back in the dark ages so my Gilera is just a posh (expensive) version of my anti natal Brit bike youth. Why do I ride a Fuoco? 'Cos it's fukin mental, the ultimate "Milan" scoot, traffic dont matter, forget the highway code just make it up as you ride, try to anticipate what the drivers do around you and remember that twat you just stuffed on the "sports" bike will try to make a comeback so be wide! Oh aye, and pack the camera thats what the Fuoco does best. Thats why I ride the Fuoco! I think? |

AuldNick,
I think I enjoyed your comment about why you ride a Fuoco very much! Do you have a photo site, or blog somewhere? |
