OMGHAHA was the most recent amusing one that I can remember.

On a Rolls Royce: RRGASM (our orgasm)

Oh, don't get me going on boat names! Some that spring to mind:
"Tiny WeeWee" (No kidding - there is a Tiny WeeWee II on the Coast Guard Documentation site).
"Maid of Styx" (An old wooden trawler).
"Virginia Creeper" (Another trawler).
"Never Again - II"

I wanted to name the next sail boat "Luff Me" ('To luff' being a racing maneuver) and the dinghy will be "Luff Me Tender".

When ever I think of a good boat name Im nervous about talking about it because Im overly protective of them.

Another one we had was "yada yada yada" as were a household of Seinfeld fans.

One of our club members owns two Vespa's. One with the tag of "Vespaah" and the other of "Vespaaa"

mine is VE5PA on the GT-200, B1KEME on the Mana, 04YZFR1 on the R1. On past bikes I've had K3 SV on my 03 SV, EX250 on my Ninja 250. We were looking at GolfTDI on the Golf and I've been pondering H00N when I add some sportscar to the garage.

The rules on registrations over here are pretty rigid. Can you pick and choose your own letter/number combinations in the US then???

Awhile back my friend picked up a Porsche SC, we were cursing and thinking we were bad when a Corvette passed us by with a plate IDO152; oops the Porsche only did 145.

Some call them "Vanity Plates" they cost more per year so it is a revenue source for the individual States.

also within each state there are dozens of specialty plates that one can get for a fee that support a variety of conservation efforts etc...

One of the best ones I've seen though was on a sport bike headed north toward Oakland on I-880, wearing the plate "880 JEDI". After all, lane splitting during rush hour is a lot like the Death Star scene in Episode IV!

North Carolina DMV has a web site where you can enter your choice and it will tell you if it is available. They do, of course, have rules about the naughty ones. They even allow some punctuation marks.

That's pretty neat and waaay too radical to be adopted over here anytime soon, unless perhaps the government realise what a cash cow it would be...

You are right on there, Marktheblue, Once the site in in place there is no further cost to the state except for actually making the plate which has to be done anyway. All vanity plates here incur an additional charge, except for Amateur Radio plates, with the Ham Radio license thereon. These are cheaper than regular, non-vanity, plates.

I have a neighbor that has "OHAILNO" on her plates. I was chatting with a friend when I realized what it said. I made them write it down and read it.

What a coincidence--i was tailgated earlier today by a guy in a 350z that needed this plate.

Saw a plate "QT" at the gas station. Didnt get it then the girl driver got out. Oh yeah, cutey. She was a cutey. No false advertising there.

Best Bumper sticker I ever saw was on a big rig hauling 2 trailers on the 401 in Toronto.

On the rear left of the trailer in big green letters was:

My buddy in VA used to have "UP YORZ" on his souped up Chevy Caprice. He said the lady at DMV was very helpful when he ordered the tags along the lines of: "Well, I can't give you up yours but I can do u-p y-o-r-z."
