Since getting rear-ended a couple of months ago, I have finally came to a resolution with the driver's insurance company and settled for a reasonable replacement amount. After test riding a BV250, and finding it an uncomfortable but decent ride, I decided to go with a new 2008 Cortina Grey GTS. I've been running her in and have put just over 400 miles on her. I installed the smaller Piaggio wind screen and I've been getting used to the color (my old bike was Dragon Red).

The only difference, aside from one bike being brand new and the other having had over 4000 miles on it, is in the digital display. The newer bike has better contrast and thicker characters on it's display, making it much easier to read, and the temperature gauge actually reads a reasonably accurate temperature. The 06's read 10-15 degrees hot year round. I have not had a chance to test the speedo with a GPS yet, but I believe the 08 reads excessively fast just like the 06. Here are a few pictures.

Looks like you got a great deal. Beautiful scoot. Yeah, while the thermometer appears to be fairly accurate on the GTS, the speedometer still runs a little fast. Odd that it can't be adjusted. Have fun.

That silver looks 10000x better than the red.

My old bike had a set of Pirellis on her that were only 1000 miles old. I had very minor headshake at around 70mph. This bike has the Savas on her, and the only time I had her going that fast there was no noticable headshake at all. The Savas don't handle the grooved pavement has well as the Pirellis did. I expect the Sava rear to wear out around 3000 miles like the last one did.
