So I went to change my jets since I got a new pipe and over jetted the first time and looking at my carb some thing was off....um....where did my mix screw go? It's gone, not in the carb (thank god) and not caught in the air filter or anything. Ordered a new one but I'm perplexed....any ideas?

Did you have it set out kind of far? I suppose it could have screwed loose and fallen out on the road. You haven't noticed boggy takeoff? It would richen your idle circuit pretty far.

It's been a little bogged bogged but not bad....glad to know that I currently am running rich, not lean. Spark plugs are a lot cheaper than a new top end.

Yes, fortunately, the farther counterclockwise/out the screw is, the richer the mixture. So it's kind of a "safe" thing to have go wrong. I'm surprised it starts and idles ok, though - a little amount of turning on the screw goes a long way
