After having a couple of heart attacks I love every morning of my life.
Years ago I made bespoke furniture and though that was a great job, now i am a Lolly Pop Man and to see the kids each and every school day is a joy to behold i even went and told a couple my name is Lolly Poppins just to get a laugh.
I love being a single Dad with a kid that thinks I'm insane and has a laugh with me every day and I love doing the unexpected like riding my Vespa instead of a bike my befitting my age and size.
Life is good!

Things I love....



...the fact that most of this stuff doesn't matter. Once you figure that out you have a lot more energy for the stuff that does.

I love being old and healthy. I love to be in love with life. And I endorse riding my bikes.

And I love the art of communication. But could someone please translate the wise words "veni, vidi, posti". Would be nice to know.

From earlier today...

I love the aroma one gets, for a brief shining moment, when opening up a bag of fresh coffee.

It's fleeting, but it's even better than the brew.

Toddlers (if their not mine) So i've been keeping 76Zaps pink LX for her since her accident and ride it occasionally. Yesterday i had to go to the store and do a fill up on it. As i'm riding past this dad who is riding a bike with a car seat on it, with a 4yrs old strapped in. The little boy points at my scooter and goes to his daddy "look at the motorcycle daddy. I waved at him and i hope he never grows up. Pink scooters get no respect on the road i'm finding but this kid looked past it's pinkness and loved it anyway. 8)

I love lamp

I love when on a camping trip the sky opens up in the middle of the night and I am serenaded with the sweet patter of rain on the tent fabric and treated to a light show of lightning followed by the crack of thunder.

Obviously, this is only enjoyable if you pick a good spot for your campsite (i.e. not on a spot which will become a water course/swamp), and if you have a decent waterproof tent (I've had my trusty Bibler for over 20 years).

I think the best camping trip I ever had found me and a buddy stranded for two days inside the tent in the Adirondacks reading, playing cards and shamelessly enjoying the kind of food that would have made our wives roll their eyes... all the while enjoying the sounds sights and smells of a violent storm all around us.

Our youngest son sometimes has trouble falling asleep, so I downloaded a nature sounds app for his iPad and showed him how to put on the rainstorm/thunder track.

Works like a charm.

Around lunch today my neighbor called to tell me my visiting SIL was locked out of the house, so I had to hop on the scoot, ride home and let her in, then ride back to work.

I love my sister-in-law.

My new rig for grilling. Two saucers, a twelve inch pot and rocks. A grilling basket fits perfectly inside if I want to do a couple burgers. The second saucer is for extinguishing the flame. Seen here Kielbasa kebabs with yellow peppers and pineapple.

Tropical weather in Lower Lumpa and the last month of summer.

Spending fun time with my dogs. I love watching them play... Sheer joy watching them having a good time in the park.

A week with my kids in Costa Rica... 20 and 22 and they still like hanging with their 'rents for a week!

Enjoying a great ride this morning, beautiful sunshine, just a great day. I've got a 400 song playlist of wide variety playing randomly in my ear plugs and up comes "I'm sittin on top of the world" by kd Lang.
