Going out for a ride really early on a Sunday morning when there's no one on the road. I went for 50 miles the other day and can probably count on one hand the number of cars I passed.

Hate is 368 or so days old, Love is 3 days!

Opening the front door after a long journey or a spell away from home, dropping the bags and putting the kettle on.

I love the gyros from Central Gyros in Chicago.

Also, I love pugs. Just so damn cute. I love their little smooshy faces and their adorable curly tails, the whole thing is just so damn squishable. I have two.

And I love driving. All by myself, with the windows down, the radio up, and as fast as possible. In the middle of nowhere, watching the open space race by...

With you on the Pugs. A few years ago I was planning to have 2.

1 Black called Ting Tong and the other fawn called Ping Pong.

I make as many stupid noises when I see a Pug as when I see a French Bulldog.

But I'm not going to get into a car with you that's for sure.

Never even tried a gyro until I moved to Greece 2 years ago. Now I can't go a week without eating at least one. Have sinced moved on to knowing which places make the best ones, and which places to ride past on my GTS 300. Do they make Skepasti at Central Gyros in Chicago?

That is a dish I am not familiar with. Here is their menu.

I know what you mean about knowing which places make the best gyros. I'm disappointed at most Greek restaurants in FL. When I go back to Chicago, I always try to make it in to Central Gyros.

Skepasti is a sort of double stacked gyro made with two whole pitas and all the usual contents in the middle (pork, or chicken or lamb, onions, tomato, etc.) with a slightly more delicate sauce and the addition of cheese and lettuce. The only place that I will order them is from a place near my house called Petra.

Although Time Out has really great gyros too, and they are open 24 hours a day!

I only wish either link posted an actual menu.

I love trying different foods. One of the few benefits to being in So.Cal, is all the different restaurants to try.

I love learning new things.

I love that large blue thing in my avatar. I bought her as a two-year old and she is 11 now. 9 years of joy, cursing, terror, triumph, and two emergency rooms trips for me.
