Hello all, I'm a new owner of a 250, wife said i was too old for two wheels. You got a wonderful and informative site here and I thank you as I have learned a lot of new things about the bike in the last week I have been reading.
Purchased bike, road it maybe 10 miles then left AZ to return to my business in Ca. Two weeks later, dead battery. AAA said that most likely, dealer(actually Harley dealer that also calls themselves Vespa dealer) likely did not fully charge battery and that one needs to ride often to keep it properly charged. Battery charger now on bike with tender.
Have a list of mods to do as soon as I can find the items and someone to install including Givi Topcase, Givi or Fabbe taller shield, LV muffler, Stebel horn, Saeng Quick scans, Kuryakyn grips 7/8ths, LED tail, brake and turn lights, and of course, those Italian flag reflectors sold on Amazon.
Where should I mount mirrors other than on the windscreen? Grips, where to get? Have found everything else.
Thank you all for the great site. Safety course in Tucson next weekend! I just love that chick with the moustache!

what ever grips light up your fancy. Just be sure to buy them for 7/8" handle bars. Theres gel Moto cross, big foamy ones , leather ones, hard chrome style. Almost all aftermarket online m/c suppliers carry them.

Are you a second or third owner, or was it really new? If not absolutely new, then consider a new battery anyway, neglect by former owners or the shop (and that happens even in the best regulated ones) can mean a definitely duff battery.

Even really new bikes can have duff batteries if the shop installs them before a customer buys the bike.

Its a brand new bike. Battery people from AAA told me that often times, they do not have time to fully charge the things before the customer takes it out the door and in fact and while I was waiting around to do the paper work at the Harley dealorship, the salesman remarked that they were putting a new battery in the bike. I appreciate your responses.
