Hi.
We recently bought a 1998 pre-LEADER ET4 with only 2700 kilometer on the odometer.
The scooter has been sitting in a garage for the last seven years.
Runs good and starts easily when used daily.

The problem is that fuel is dripping from underneath the scooter.
Tree hoses sticking out from engine department and fuel is coming from the hose with smallest diameter.
Looks like this hose is connected to the carburetor float chamber (bowl).
Are we suffering from a fuel tap that is stuck open?
Vacum operated?

Other than that we are pleased with the scooter and have added clear indicator lenses and chrome sides stand from SIP (Germany).
We also replaced the original rearview mirrors with a pair of round chrome mirrors from MOTORSPORT SCOOTER (USA).

The ET4 together with my GTS300 makes a nice couple.

Regards.

The fuel taps are vacuum operated, and it's not uncommon for them to fail.

Should it be the same procedure that I've seen for petcock check? I'm not sure I'm getting fuel to the carb.
Thanks, Charley
pull the fuel line off of the carb. if gas starts pouring out of the line, then the tap is bad. to test delivery, place the hose in a suitable container and crank the motor over a few times. fuel should pour out at a very reasonable rate-- pretty full stream.

best,

The other possibilities (I can think of) is your carburetor float is bad- it's not shutting off the gas flow, allowing the fuel to overfill the carb or simply you're overfilling the gas tank & it's dripping out the overfill hose.

It's a good idea to replace the fuel and vacuum lines at the same time.

if it's sat that long the fuel line may have cracked - i had a similar problem with mine ... couldn't figure out where the fuel was dripping from until the line actually split open.
