Hey guys,

I have the unfortunate (or fortunate) characteristic of being very tall but not big. I'm 6'6", 185 lbs and finding a jacket has been a nightmare.

I'd love to be able to wear all my gear all the time, but the truth is that I just can't find a jacket that fits. I had an XL-Tall jacket I bought that was so roomy is would flap in the wind once I hit highway speeds, but I was basically swimming in it so none of the protective gear was really where it needed to be anyway.

Outside of paying hundreds and hundreds for a custom made leather jacket, maybe someone has a tip on where I can find something that might fit?

Zipping around the city I feel fine without a jacket, but once I hit the highway, you start to feel a little conscious of your vulnerability. At this point I'm almost feeling like I may have to get strap on armor and since that's more of a hassle, I think I would end up using it less often.

Thanks!

The bmw suits offer short & long sizing. The short sizes are genuinely for short stubby bodies & the long sizing is genuinely for long lanky ones. I haven't been disappointed w/ a single thing I've got from them. Fit wise, the only ppl they don't cover are fat people.

I can't speak from any personal experience of being either tall or skinny. However, Rev'It gear tends to be way too skinny for the average American and the Dutch are currently the tallest people on the planet on average. It's also really high quality. They do make extra-tall sizes, too.

I'm 6' 7" and in skinnier days I would add straps to the sides of the torso areas of my leather jackets cause because if the sleeves were long enough they were always too big around the middle. Kinda wish I still had that problem!

Yeah it looks like custom may be my best shot then.

I've tried the Tall sizes already, I would essentially need a medium (or if we're pushing it, a L) in extra tall for the sleeves to fit right it seems. Was just wondering if anyone had any experience with brands that seem to make their sleeves longer than most?

Yeah that's kind of what I'm trying to avoid, because knowing myself, I'm less likely to use it if it's inconvenient to use.
