My alignment on my ET4 is pretty off (about 1030ish). I'm hoping this is a pretty easy fix, and I assume it involves removing parts of the headset.
Advice/help is appreciated, pictures of the process even better!
Thanks all.

Nope. Not that hard. Just grasp your front wheel firmly between your legs and you should be able to turn your handlebars straight. It won't be real easy, but it can be done. You really shouldn't have to take anything apart.

I straightened mine that way and it hasn't loosened. I've also read many posts here saying to do it that way, so I don't think there is any danger of it causing future problems.

Do it that way - but if it is very easy to turn to correct it, you may need to nip the pinch-bolt up a tad.

Even easier, while sitting on it, you can turn it to full lock, and then apply pressure.

I've done a great job of not being clear today . . . don't lock the bars with the key.

If the bars are say, skewed to the right, turn the bars all the way to the left, then apply pressure to the right grip until you get it where you want it.

Make sense?

I find it easier to do this than the leg method.

Have you actually tried this? My bars are slightly off to the right on my BV. I lightly tried the between the legs thing once and nothing budged. Isn't there a pin or something that prevents the bars from going too far? I sure don't want to bust something.

I've done it on both ET4 and GTV.
YMMV. I obviously am not taking responsibility for any damage.

Thanks. I'll probably try the between the legs version one more time. I was being very gentle the first time tried. I'll have beer first this go around.

+1

I've re-adjusted both ways, and this way, sitting on the bike, is far easier in my opinion.
