OK, took the tupperware off, fluid is fine. When hubby got home the other day and bumped the scoot and it leaned so much that he was all up in my face about leaving it unlocked. I hadn't ridden in days, I told him it wouldn't have balanced for almost a week if I hadn't locked the wheels. He put it up on the centerstand and cranked it up to the lovely tones of the horn. It felt loose when I stopped for a drink out riding Sunday. The battery connections look good, but after the bwah bwah the time on the display is off as well, so it must do something to the electronics. Shannon checked something about the battery that I can't remember, but he said he did not "load check it" which means it could be losing amps???? Have I mentioned I'm new to this mechanic-ing thing?

Question is, any ideas? I hate it when the lock doesn't work. With no kickstand it is a b**ch to get off of and on the centerstand, at least for me (yeah, I know, function of the rider, not the bike). What should I be looking at?

If it's having trouble with moving while tilt locked, I'd suggest that you make sure all of the front end suspension bolts are tightened. When they fixed the wobble in mine at my 6k service, they said that some of them were loose. But I'm afraid I can't really give you any more information than that right now, since that's all they told me...

My clock was reset after I took the battery out for the winter last year. When I plugged it back in, it honked at me for a few seconds the first time I turned it on, but after that, it was good. If you're getting the same thing without unplugging it, then somehow the computer must be losing it's power when it's off. Good luck with that!

OK, if you have the Fuoco Parts Diagrams PDF, then look at TAB. 04.02. I'm guessing that the nuts/bolts you have to tighten are the ones on the gray control arms for the front suspension, up under the front of the bike. Pretty much the ones numbered in the 20's.

But I'm not a mechanic, and I haven't done this, so I could be wrong. Someone more mechanically-inclined should confirm or deny this...

As for the electrical, have you made sure that all of the fuses are good? Maybe one is not making a good connection or is partly blown (if that's even possible...)
