Yeah I commute as often as possible (weather has been sketchy here the past few days) and it's amazing how many cute girls ride both scooters and motorcycles in the city.

Everytime I see one I fall in love for about 15 seconds, but don't tell my fiance that! Laughing emoticon

My first though is "that's hot" but it is immediately followed by "I sure hope she doesn't drop that scooter with all that skin exposed". I must be getting old.

Exactly my reaction. Wow!! She looks so hot, (as I'm sweating under my jacket and FF helmet) But then I reassure myself that she should look like a power ranger too!

I was just there this weekend too and was thinking the very same thing. I also saw a tagged older beat up vespa chained to a pole. I think if I had a new shiny vespa I that city, I would constantly be worried about it getting ripped off. There were some hot women riding them though!

If/when (more like when... I'm not meant to live in LA forever) I move back to NY I will definitely be keeping a scooter and a Zipcar membership. I rode snowmobiles as a kid and I like skiing so cold weather doesn't phase me.. as long as I have the right gear.

Yup, scooting year round here isn't a big deal. Good gear and stay parked during snow and you're all good.

The girls, however, tend to only scoot on nice weekend days between May and September
