Um...OK. I did and then I saw the castle. What am I missing?

I just tried it again and noticed that the color changes slightly and a tan halo is sort of visible for a few seconds. Is that it?

Okay, I think the illusion is that it appears to be in colour for a few seconds before the impression disappears. The actual image (after the negative thingy) is black and white throughout. Am I right?

Most of the optical illusions I've seen have been the result of wearing beer goggles. This one was pretty cool. And pain free.

Very cool. I found it more convincing to pause the vid on the first image and set my cursor over the end where the image of the castle appears. Then you can stare at it for a while and click over to the second image and see the colour to B&W thing happen under your own control.

(I was expecting the BOO! image too the first time).
