OK,... so Susan and I have been working our patookies off since we got back from our Wedding trek ( Memphis to Key West...A Wedding Adventure 3000miles ) and were climbing the walls to make a short trip to appease the scooter gods or mostly us ...hehe...so we decided to head out of Memphis up Hwy 51 and across Hwy 78 to the Northern most point of Tennessee and the Reelfoot Lake State Park http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reelfoot_Lake . This being the site of many severe earthquakes in 1811 and 1812 that caused the Mississippi to flow backwards and thus creating Reelfoot Lake.

Finally a day in Memphis when the heat index dropped under 100!! We had to skip work and get on the road. For any of you scoots out there in West TN or KY or east MO...this is a good easy scenic ride to another world.

We would love to ride over to Asheville, NC for the rally....we just don't have any time to get away this month. My family is in Knoxville and I have cousins in Asheville. We are trying to plan a ride over there before it gets too cold. Hopefully we can meet you NC scooter dudes someday soon.

Great place....but hope you didnt believe all the Indian stories there....
I was born there.( long long ago) and just happen to be one of the "real" indians from there (Cherokee) Now Live in country outside Somerville now..
Wife and I have Piaggio BV250s that are triked....so also have many similar adventures...
