Good day everyone.

Since I have been on a powder coating frenzy lately, I was curious to know what people thought of the durability and expense of the procedure versus painting. For moving parts, I like to stick with painting (most of the time) but for some of the accent and wear pieces, I am leaning towards powder. The same prep work goes into cleaning and sanding for both making it a nearly a wash for me when it comes to prep labor.

Any thoughts or advice?

I think I paid like $90 for my rims , hubs and couple of small parts. Powder is much harder and looks nicer IMO .

i would powder coat anything that is going to get wet frequently, like rims, hubs, anything that's just a few inches from the ground. It resists rust much better than paint. I know some people will powder coat the entire frame and cowls, to seal the metal from oxidation, then paint over it like normal.
