Hi Having a few problems getting my GT200 to start. The ignition lights cut out and therefore it won't start.

When the problem started I just need to wiggle the key to get the lights on and start the bike. Now it seems to be getting more difficult to get them on, it takes a combination of key wiggling and pushing. This morning slamming the glove box fixed it. It occasionally cuts out when riding, which isn't too convienent.

My guess is a loose wire, but haven't made the time to open it up and find out. Any one had this problem before?

Thanks,
Phil

Yes it's common. You need a new ignition switch which should cost about £10 (over here anyway).

Take the horncover off and also the front handlebar cover, and you will be able to replace it by removing a clip.
