There doesn't seem to be such a thing as a L252 - is it a GL2?

Thanks,

Its a 42l2 or a 92l2 difficult to tell from the pic. I contacted the seller this morning to tell him.

Thanks. It's too far for me to go and look at and you can't really see too much from the pics but the frame looks sound. I need to get my GL finished before I start another anyway...

Hi Nathanial

It's a 92L2, as I've eventually discovered after buying it. Frame number CA42707, engine no 0842707 (although I need to clean them and get my magnifying glass out - a bit of rough paint obscuring the frame number yet), first registered in Chester on 10 Feb 1958.

What do mean too far to go and see? I flew to Edinburgh, hired a van, drove to Stoke, took it back to Scotland then crated and shipped to Dubai...

Cheers, Will

OOPS - correction, frame number and engine number are both the same - 08742707. Pics loaded, at least I hope they are; this is my first attempt...

Cheers, Will

What kind of Douglas is it?

The slow and expensive kind.
