They tell me they have made it in three parts so when fitting the pipe it just does not need any force on the pipe to fit, it can be set up great! Looks good to me, and the quality is amazing!

The LV has the same approach, but (in my opinion) this actually makes it harder to get the pipe mounted without putting stress on the pipe. Everything has to be at the right angle, and there are multiple points of rotation that need adjusting.

Ahh!

So what is the best pipe in your view?

The pm also looks nice but more cash!

The Reedspeed one will be the one for me, and if I have a prob they are only up the road and real nice to deal with!

Any pipe I can't break.

That's the one pipe I haven't tried yet. Supposed to be fairly durable.

Might be excellent. Might be rubbish. Hard to say at this point. But please do give us an update when you get it installed.

What i still don't understand is why all these aftermarket exhaust dudes have to make there exhaust in different pieces??? Piaggio makes the original in one piece and it stays in one piece.

Why don't they make it in one piece like the original??? Because it won't breake??

I've tried different exhausts for the LX and it's always the multi piece design that su*** and breaks!!

Piaggio's GTS exhaust has always been a two piece one. Some of the GT200s are too.

As Doug correctly points out, the GTS exhaust -- the stock one -- is a two-piece affair. Moreover, the stock two-piece exhaust is actually quite durable, except for the gasket between the two pieces.

Re: Just seen this amazing looking pipe!
I like the looks of it. What is the hanger made of?
I do like the look of those shorter pipes, like this and the LV.
I ended up with a PM, which is fine, but the looks don't really fit my GTS, IMHO. Nevertheless the PM is good lookin and runnin.

Jess;

How many miles did you get on the Gianelli?

I have about 3000 on mine and it is still going strong. The pipe that connects to the manifold is discolored but the exhaust can almost looks like new. I'm still pretty pleased with the way it looks never really cared for the way it sounds although the sound does not bother me.

I agree. I like the look of the LV but not when it gets discoloured brown from high temps. The LV can cause problems.

The PM is not without its faults. The most recent incarnation is quieter, but still loudish (though not too loud). It has a slip and spring link to the header pipe, and the header pipe has a spiral, so is less likely to stress fracture. Not completely unheard of though.

Looks good. Pleases keep us all informed how you get on with it. My stock exhaust probably has another years life in it but I do like the look of this one.

Just one boring question though. Do insurance companies classify it as a'modification'
