My GT60 is "Grigio 60, 780/A".

This is an edit reflecting an error in me reporting my code was 786/A.

My Apology.

Jorgen,

I edited my original post to reflect an error. You can remove the carrier under the seat and look for a sticker next to the engine number for the paint code. If you have any doubts about whether or not your Vespa is a genuine GT60, I suggest you email Piaggio USA with the engine number and ask them to authenticate it for you.

Hi
I don't have a GT60 , I am just looking for the correct color code and name for the one I pictured. My current Vespa is GTS 300 and my wife has got the 150
THanks

No. This is wrong.

The bold print is not shouting, just bold.
The colour of the Gt60 that you've posted (and the one that I own) is Vintage Gray. The Piaggio code is 786/A.

Part of the problem may stem from the fact that a few of the Gt60 scooters actually had the wrong sticker on them when they were sent out. I have a photo of one of them. There is confusion between the Aviator gray which was a GTV colour and the lighter colour that you are seeking.

I have touch-up paint that matches the Gt60 perfectly. The code on it from Piaggio is 786A.

I'd be delighted to find out the PPG code if you are able to get it.

cheers

Ok.. so I got PPG samples of the 780/a and the 786/a they seem to be different than the gray in the picture above.

The 786/a is a bit darker and the 780/a is just plain different like a very dark purpley gray... So I am still hunting for the Piaggo code on this one.
Thanks...

So do you need paint? Or do you just want the paint code? If you want to buy the paint call 314-361-5446 ask for Jeff Rose or Steve!

Hi-
Just the code for the color - I am not painting my GTS Vespa, but having a car painted custom. I think it is one of the best gray colors I have ever seen. Now if I ever scratch my Vespa Wha? emoticon I would repaint it in this color....that is if I ever get the right code.
Cheers

I wonder if you're trying to match the colour in the photo rather than the actual Gt60 colour. In the literature the color was called gray 725 when Piaggio talked about the first paint being left overs from painting battleships. When I tried to get touch-up paint the Gray725 was a dead end.
The actual color is darker than the photo you're showing. This is a better representation:

I bet the photo you posted is a bit over-exposed - look at the colour of the pavement in it.

Good Luck finding the colour you want. The fact that you're not trying to match one part to another will work in your favour.

cheers
