Hi I purchased a windscreen for my GTV250. It came with plastic washers that install between the chrome mounting hardware and the rubber mount

The included washers are tapered. My question is does the thin tapered side face up or down?

If I understand your question correctly, the thin tapered side faces up. I just installed a couple of screens in the past week.

Got in late here but thin side up. Think about the angle or lean of the windscreen. The instructions that came with my windscreen had that little detail mentioned.
