It sure looked like it still said "Reserve Not Met" for the couple seconds it was at $4500 but before time ran out.

Whoo hoo, we have a weiner at $4500! Hope it was someone here. I wonder what the reserve was.

I quit at $3750. It would either be a very expensive decoration - or i would add a bunch of miles to it and actually take away from what makes it so unique. I say matt black the sucker and kit it out!

Literally, 2 seconds and then the reserve not met disappeared. I hope an MVr got it and I hope they live to the west of me and I hope they drive through my state on I-80. I'd put them up for a night or two just to see it. It's a beautiful find.

That's cool. I hope someone is happy with it and cleans it up without buggering up a nice original scooter. I can remember going to Sears and sitting on these when I was a kid waiting for my mom to shop.

Somebody's gotten a rare treat. Too rich for my blood though- I'd never have the heart to run it and risk damaging it, and I don't want to own anything that I won't actualy use.

i am a sucker for mickey mouse taillights. i would love to have all three bikes that have them someday. but i would not go 4500 for the sprint. 4500 should almost buy the SS.

$4500 is $1100 more than the SS Rover Eric found for me up your way in AA. Not nearly as nice as this, though, and 500 times the mileage.

Just got home, missed the closing of the auction by a half hour or so. I would not of won it anyway as I had $4000 in my mind as a top bid. From $4000 I would of needed a Chicago buddy to pick it up, crate it and ship it to me plus its other needs, I would of been over $5000 and I wasn't feeling that much.

Some things to ponder:

It's only original ONCE

Using it will destroy the one thing that makes it unique and valuable. This is just like unbuilt Heathkits...if you build it, they won't come (value goes down by 90%)

Another thing our fearless leader has programmed into MV - just noticed it last night. When you post your 666th message your tagline changes from "addicted" to "evil". Too clever for his own good
