Modern Vespa

As you all know a Van backed into my GTS-300 Super pushing it and knocking it over about 5 weeks ago. Modern cCassics told me they fixed the scooter( I picked it up today), but Vespa will not have any tall windscreens avaliable till January 2011. Modern classics told me I need to buy a windscreen online and bring it in to be put on(When it was knocked over the original one was scratched up). We planned on a tall Faco, but found a Vespa tall windscreen online. I'm pretty sure, but need to know

The Tall GTS 250 windscreen will fit the 300 Super?

Found a Vespa tall windscreen on Ebay from Vespa Eastside for $231 including shipping to Maryland. Is that good?

I am pretty sure any GTS 250 screen will fit the 300. I doubt they changed anything at the mounting points. I would say $231 is high, but then it is a Vespa windscreen?? I have a few of the Tall Fuco windscreens, one for the GTS 250 and one for the LX150. I have been thinking about cutting down the tall one a few inches, but haven't actually started anything yet.

I looked online at a few dealers and it's realy only about $15.00 more then most stores are selling it for.

That is not too bad, at only $15.00 higher.. it would be nice if that was that much or more lower than the shops. I failed to metion that the Fuco's were only about $160.

I took the tall Vespa windscreen and mounting brackets off of my GTS 250 i.e. when I traded it in for a GTS 300 i.e. Super and installed it, no issues, on the 300. They are "interchangeable" between at least the GTS 250 and GTS 300 Super.

Just my opinion, but Vespa brand windscreens are of much better quality than 3rd party screens.

I had the tall Faco windscreen on my Super. It was the same on as would be used for a GTS. I recently put the mid size Faco screen back on simply because of the weather change.

Not sure anyone answered your question definitively. The windscreen will fit the 250 and the 300. The 250 and the 300 are essentially the same frame except for the engine.
