What a fantastic day. We ( Steve, Joe, Dave, Lydia, Gerome and I) all met at Java Beach at 10:00am, talked and got aqauinted. We departed for the Golden Gate Bridge parking lot (SF side) to wait for others.
No one showed by the departure time of 12:00noon so we took off. Crossed the Golden Gate Bridge without a glitch and rode up into the Marin Headlands towards the Point Benicia Lighthouse. We took in the sights and the sun then began our way back towards civilization.
At this point Gerome had to return home as the rest of us went our way towards Sausalito. We rode up into the Mt. Tamalpais area and headed towards Stinson Beach. We stopped at the Sand Dollar for lunch with Bluegrass music. Nice company and weather.
We returned to the city and wrapped up the ride with a detour through the Presidio, Palace of Fine Arts, Marina, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, Lombard St. North Beach, China Town and finally Union Sq.
Like I said, what a fantastic day.
