It's 34° and rainy, today. Since Christmas, it's been 34-45° and rainy. It's January, and there should be snow on the ground and it should be cold. The warmth and rain has melted all the snow, so I can't get to enthused about skiing (on man-made snow). The rain has dampened - pun intended - my desire to scoot.

This just blows.

Temperatures here in Belgium have been between 0 and 5°C with just a few frosty days. I actually like this weather. There's not too much rain and there not often ice, so I can keep on scootin' easily

Hang in there Mongoose. When the weather turns nasty here in Maryland, I que up Quadrophenia, get out all the Scooter books, magazines and plan some spring trips. I just bought a "Day Trips" book for our region, I'm already thinking about some great times forthcoming. Cheers!

It was in the low 70's and sunny yesterday and I rode the scoot all over town. It is supposed to reach 65 today so I am thinking of riding the back roads to a neighboring town for lunch.

Even if is crummy right now.

LOL, I prefer visiting cold weather.

Actually, I would love to live in the NC mountains because autumn is my favorite time of year.

Here comes one! I'm also enjoying my 30 degree pouring rain Thursday afternoon. If I could gather all the road salt on my street alone I could probably construct a pyramid big enough to rival the worlds largest. Someday.... maybe in June..... I'll also have sunny and 76 degree days to ponder where to ride....

Yeah, I too am getting bored with this damn murky wet weather and hold poor Steve pity parties. But I keep thinking of the guy in Minnesota who rides his scooter to work everyday come snow, ice, or hight water. Gary makes me feel like a real whiner.....

You can check out his -15 degree rides at:

i rode my et last night. it was very nice out and the ride in this morning was lovely. then i went home and got my T5 to check out the new shoes i popped on last week and see if i can dial in the bitubos.

now, i just got back from a "PDI test ride" on mulholland & laurel cyn. on a lovely new GTS.

i think i hit the tri-fecta... maybe i'll break out the smallframe or the lammy and go for the super-fecta!

Yeah yeah greasy, but you have to ride in California. That pretty much wrecks any weather advantages doesn't it?

When we lived in Virginia, it would snow, and then be mostly melted in a day, two at worst. Here in Ohio it snows and stays, or gets piled everywhere and gets brown and ugly. Salt water rivers run down the sidewalks and across streets. Even when its somewhat warm it is ugly, salty, gray, and crappy out.

Here's my car. Not now, as this is a photo from two years ago. But this is what it looked like about two weeks before Christmas. It got warmer for a while and rained, but it is snowing again, and my car will probably look like this again from now until March. That is salt caked all over it, except the snow on the rear bumper.

I hate winter...

Aren't dark cars a bitch? My van is dark blue. Always looks nasty in the winter, from salt residue.

On the plus side, they look so gorgeous when they've had a bath, don't they?

got lucky today!
38F this morning when I left the house - heading into the 40s this afternoon with overcast skys but no rain (and the December snows are all gone). got to scoot to work, and apparently just in time, the battery was a little weak starting this morning. maybe it's time to look into that battery-tender.
