I got my Vespa LXV125 equipped with the full chrome kit when I bought it some months ago.

I know it's not really termoscud season yet, but the summer has suddenly become rainy and cold (at least in the morning) here in Belgium, so I decided to buy a Tucano termoscud - the R153 fits the LX models.

The problem is that the rear side kit is fixed to the bottom plate of the scooter exactly on the metal edge where you would attach the snap hook of the termoscud's anchor strap.

For the time being I have put the centre-most screw of the chrome kit through the buckle of the anchor strap - which means I cannot adjust the length of that strap without unfastening the screw first. But it works fine.

Does anyone know the "official" solution to this problem - or a better one??

Dessita's review is perfect... the scud is a must have ! I love mine... even at high speed with big wind the scud was perfect...

Also try the neoprene gloves which are also priceless if you ride foul or cold weather ...

I ordered one for my Burgman 400 from Scootercrazy.com, it was defective one of the blow up things leaked, so I sent it back, $102 its been three weeks since I've heard anything, they are waiting for word from Italy. I will keep you updated.

I've had my 'scud for 4+ years. It stays on my GT200 all winter (stored under cover but outdoors). It not only works great but is showing no real signs of wear yet, even after being in the cold all season for four winters in a row.

I'm quite pleased with it. It was pricey but worth the money.

Yup the scooter skirt wraps around my waist and clips in back. There is a little tuck and shaping so that it rides close to your body. (The Termoscud wraps around the front of the scoot and drapes over the rider.)

Though I live in a relatively warm climate (Lost Angeles) we do have some cool days. I first used the skirt on a 51 degree morning in the Marina.

In a word..., Fantastic! There is just a little bit of flapping on one side. The skirt includes a bit of velcro that you can attach to the cowl side of your scoot, so as to avoid flapping, but I am reluctant to do so. The flapping isn;t that bad (so far) and I just don't want the velcro on my scooter!

The only hang up is the order in which you gear up. The clips hard to manage with gloves. You almost have to sit on the scooter then click the skirt clip. It is just a little constraining to click the skirt on then mount the scoot, especially if there is anything hanging from the bag hook in the front (on the modern scoots.)

In all though I am glad I have it and will ride more often because of it..

Now, if I could only find an adequate cup holder for my morning coffee...

hi all,
i'm trying to fit my new termoscud r153 to my vespa, and i only have one doubt:
when it comes to fasten the hooks uunder the the scooter's base, usig the extension, where do i hook the extension unuderneath the base?
i don't have anthing to hook it to...
or mabe it doesn't need to be hooked but just adjust the tension of all straps?

I have one for my scooter and can vouch for the items high quality.

I have used a thermo scud on all my scooters since 2010. I ride all year around even in below freezing temperatures. This product is awesome. Lately, I've had the air bladders go bad on me. Everytime I order replacement parts they send me the wrong Air Bladder. My friend recommended that I try using fun noodles instead. I am pleased to say that the smaller diameter fun noodle works well. You won't be able to roll the lap apron up, unless your remove the noodle, but it doesn't deflate based on temperatures. Just wanted to share.

I love these things! Have a skirt on both my bikes and they are incredibly handy. On the BMW it even has plenty of waterproof storage so your toque, gloves etc easily fit in to the side pouches or zip enclosure on top.

The big advantage on a vespa is the rads vent in to it providing even more warmth. The other huge advantage is on a cold rainy day you don't need to put rain gear on below the waist. For urban riding (lots of stops) waterproof boots help though.

Not sure why these are such a rare sight here. They make absolute perfect sense and help extend the riding season in comfort.
