Don't post alot here, but thought there would lots of people here who would be interested in demoing the mp3 at the motorcycle show, tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day. The demo ride is thorough and lasts about thirty to forty minutes, reaching speeds over 70 mph. The bike is perfect in ride (and that was with driving with a passenger riding on back) and looked way better in person than I thought it would. The Piaggio reps were cool too. Pix below, sorry to obscure the view but all my pix but one were taken with me on the bike.

Darn it - too late notice - if I leave home now (11 pm) and drive through Washington, Oregon and into California I still won't make it in time !!!!!

Hopefully will get to demo an MP3 up here in Canada sometime in early 2007. Can't wait....

So, whaddya really think - would you buy it ??? That bike is just too cool for words. I anticipate a 3 wheel revolution!!

You could make it to the San Mateo show next week? http://motorcycleshows.com/motorcycleshows/ I was on MP3 and it really did not seem quite as cool as it did when I saw it in pictures? I was hoping to like it, but it left me feeling a little flat. In contrast, I thought the GT60 was just another color but in person it was very impressive and it made me want one. If there are any locals you really don't want to miss this show.

I saw the MP3 at the Toronto Motorcycle Show but there weren't any demo rides,
Guess the show was just too small, Everything was in one big room.

I did get to sit on the new MP3 though and even though I didn't get to drive
it it felt really comfortable, I'd buy it if I could get the money.
The sales rep gave a demonstration of how the front wheels work and I
thought that the guy that was sitting on it was going to tip the thing over.

I am wondering if the parts for this thing are in ready supply or will the
parts have to be ordered from Italy should something break down on it.
That's my only worry about it, After my previous problems with getting new
parts for my LX150 and waiting weeks for them to arrive from Italy.

I wish Vespa would start stock piling their spare parts in the Americas,
Or start manufacturing parts over here.

Well if you goto the Vancouver Motorcycle show website it says the MP3 will be there:

http://www.sportshows.ca/VanCycle/07Showcase.htm

That show is going to be held from Jan 25 - 28/07.

I am hoping to get the little woman a silver one (I was wishing she woulda wanted the Cherry Red one, but she wants Excalibur Grey) and the show is being held in Calgary from Jan 5 - 7/07.

If they did not have demo rides in Toronto don't expect them to be in Calgary nor Vancouver. Too bad though, us canucks get the short end as with most things. Well at least it will bew available to buy in Canada in April!

We saw it yesterday at the Toronto show and couldn't stand the appearance. Perhaps we are traditionalists but it just has zero sex appeal.

Now, we were likely in the minority because that bike had a larger crowd around it most times than anything else we saw at the show. I just wonder how many we will actually see make it to the roads?

I'd have to agree with that. Scooter purists tend to be averse to the look, but your average person or open minded motorcyclist tends to get pretty excited about it. I talked with curious onlookers every 3rd stop light on the MP3, never had that kind of attention on any Vespa or any other 2 wheeler.

Some people like blondes; some brunettes. Some like skinny, some like "meat on the bones" !

Me like CHERRY RED MP3 ..... hot hot .....

PS: If the MP3 was an actor it would be Sean Penn, and my GTS would be ... darn it, I can't think of any actor that gorgeous !!!

I too am particular to the Cherry Red, but the little wifey wanys the Excalibur Grey...Think I will be getting her the Grey and if/when they come out with the 400+ I will possibly trade/sell the BV250 for the bigger one in the Cherry red.

Wish April would hurry up so we can get the new addition home for her. Also if the MP3 is going to be available in Canada in April, should it not show up on the approved list of scoots that can be imported into Canada soon?
