Welcome, CUCO!

I knew the name looked familiar, but couldn't place which scooter forum.

I think those of us on VespaSpeed had high hopes for it, but not much traffic over there. Hopefully, we don't die out like that here!

Hey Coco,
I'd say save your money and get either the PM pipe or the Titanium pipe for your ET. The sito + just doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Over all regarding top speed, neither pipe made much of a difference for me, but the PM gave me better acceleration, something the Sito lacked noticably. Anyway, if your ET is all "MOD", you probably won't go very fast anyway with all those lights and mirrors.

Thanks a lot spuck!
By the way I was checking the PM too and looks like a good option,as far as going fast i'm doing fine with the scooter being stock since i don't have that much of all those lights and mirrors,i keep it simple but still "MODOUT"
Once again thanks for your reply!

I don't think it'll happen. Looks to me like with all the INSBBS refugees showing up here that we already have critical mass for a viable board.

Again, cudos to Jess (and all the nice folks who invited me over here)

Nah, I don't think so either, but Vespa speed had a big influx of people back in July, and about a dozen of the same people who are on here, several of which are also from the BBS. They just sorta stopped growing, which is what prompted my comment.

We seem to have a bigger head start here now, with a lot more of the more active enthusiast BBS members. I just think the timing is better. Too many of us are fed up with the Chinese topics, and Vespa bashing, as well as the end of the riding season for man of us here further north.

Plus, we've got one Hell of a good start!

Here's us after 2+ weeks:

And here's VespaSpeed after five months:

Which is a *lot* better than VespaOhio after two months!

Again, Thanks Jess, for the enthusiasm and initiative!

I appreciate all the accolades, really I do, but I can't take all or even most of the credit. I was merely dumb enough to say to myself I should set up a forum -- how hard could it be? and then proceeded to set up the actual machinery of a forum. Without people, though, it really wouldn't be very interesting.

So, credit also goes to:
- NapaCoach, for providing enthusiasm as well as names and contacts of significant people in the Vespa world. Many of the most notable expats from INSBBS and elsewhere are here because of him.
- Smorris, for spreading the word and providing insight into running a forum, and for apparently being my long lost twin (long story).
- Jen at VespaSF, for linking to Modern Vespa on the vespasf.com web site. We actually do get regular hits coming from their site.
- And, most of all, each one of you early adopters. It wouldn't be a forum without you.
