IMO unless they can get the price point below other competing products, It'll remain only a really neat niche product (unless other manufacturers rush to copy the idea as you hinted).
Thing is, there aren't really any competing products. It seems like any 250cc scooter would compete with it, but I could make a case for it being something other than a scooter. It's one of those things that until people ride it, it's hard to understand what it's all about. Once you do it's completely understandable. It gets a lot of attention, so that's what makes me think it's got potential in the marketplace.

the more i think about, the more i plan to get one...so the next question, how can i mod it to get a few extra mph? pipe change??

if i'm gonna take it on the highways i need to be able to go 80 for at least a small stretch of time, and 75ish for longer periods...

at 6 foot and 180 i'm not heavy, but i'm also not a 105 pound mod chick riding...so my size will also affect speed some....

the other question is color...not a fan of red, but the cherry red looks the best in the images i've seen of the 250cc model (would easily get the dark blue 400cc color if it was available)

the last question...any info on the 400?? the US and Canada seem like perfect homes for the 400...long, wide open roads, fast speedlimits, people with disposible income

Kinda interesting... a while back there were only a couple members saying they would like one, now sofar 24 members say they are gonna get one. That translates into almost 37 % of those responding +/- 2%, 19 times out of 20

I'd buy one a bit further down the road...if only to have when I get too decrepit to ride my GTS (I'm 60; I figure I've got another 20 years; then I'll move to the MP3).

Now thats a statement of the true demographic for this Scooter. 60 and over crowd will love this scoot especially if it comes in a 400 and they can ride it places on the highway.
