Today it's still the panic buying petrol types. These are the people who clear the supermarket shelves of bread and milk leaving none for the rest of us when the weatherman says it may snow for a bit next week.

Minor road rage this morning in my cage. I guess the driver behind me wanted me to run over the squirril so she would not be late for work.

Always seeming to get caught behind a slow ass minivan or prius just as I am getting to some of the few fun curves I have on my commute. Well always may be an exaggeration but even once is too much.

Prius haters.

That reminds me of the crazy situation many years ago in the US caused by the late night TV entertainer, Johnny Carson. (Long story, short...) One night, he joked about the toilet paper shortage which resulted in immediate panic buying and the complete emptying of store shelves of the product.

Why do people assume that others wish to converse with them or include or be included in their conversations?

Friends of mine own two "authentic Italian" coffee and gelato shops in San Diego. They are bright cheery places with unbeliveably good food and amazingly warm and friendly staff. The customers are extremely nice and the place has a very inviting air about it. In some respects, too much so..

We have a new guest. He is an older and clearly very lonely man who now comes in every morning it appears, buys a cup of coffee and apparently spends hours here reading the daily fish wrap. But he is not content to just read his paper in peace. Nope he injects himself into everyone sitting at the bar areas discussions. As I type this, I'm wearing earphones listening to nothing. Sad fact? That has not dissuaded this gentleman.

I am not without sympathy and compassion. I was warm welcoming and friendly as my friends would have expected me to be the first several times he interrupted my conversation to interject his opinions. Apparently I am also part to blame!

Boss telling us to install a 42" long server in a 36" cabinet and just telling us to take the doors off so it will fit. Damn thing was hanging 10" out of the front of the cabinet.

An email from me to the Dir Of Data Center Operations about the safety of this idea stopped the stupidity for being completed.
It's nice having 6 years seniority over my boss.
People listen when I complain about something stupid that is going on.
Then I got an email apology from the VP of Data Center Operating for being asked to do something so asinine.

Brody not to piss you off even more but I think it's because the bike shops are not open on Mondays so the shipping and handling is done on Tuesday. On a side note, why is that? Barbers and hair stylists too? Now that pisses me off!!! So people don't need a hair cut or their bikes fixed on Mondays? What's up with that? It also gives them a bad rep as party animals. Do I really want someone working on my hair or my bike with a monumental hangover? Now I am royally pissed off

Max. I don't know why you are worried about barbers or stylists being closed on Mondays (everybody else think cueball). The reason is because we need to work Saturdays and can still have a two day weekend.

our networked printer that has worked just fine up until 3 weeks ago. it still prints wirelessly from my mac in the other room, but the husband's wired pc tower it says 'nope, no print for you'.

i tried a few things and then just went through the re-install process. thankfully it's working now... but sometimes tech just chaps my hide.

Mike ( my friend in MA) called me last nite to tell me he found some Giffords ice cream (my fav and made in Maine) at the convenience store a half mile from his house and had just finished a big bowl of it, while thinking of me. I'm going to call him everyday and say it's 80,sunny and about 3-5ft surf. I want some.

The brass hats in the same government who so desperately want to force their constituents to be green while reserving for themselves the right to be wasteful.

I just received my 5th separate letter in two days, all covering minutiae of my state workers insurance fund, 20+ pages so far, some of them blank except for my business name, not including the previously received letters, apparently notifying me that I would be receiving the later letters, which although I've already paid the bill based on the first letters (Not those first letters, but the ones even before that that told me that they would be mailing me a bill) also included a receipt for the amount paid in full along with a bill for the balance of $0.00 due, which is to be paid at the end of the month, along with a convenient return envelope I can put my payment of $0.00 into.

I just stapled them all together and filed them.

And they still haven't sent me my policy yet.


PS: I have several other major insurance policies. They all manage to get the job with two letters, I return one with the payment, and another which includes my receipt and policy.

The asshole in the beamer who decided he should try to move my scooter out of the way rather than maneuver his way out of a reasonably large space. The result: the human shitstain smashed my gearbox into the curb and scraped up my engine side cowl. My street is permit only, and I'm pretty sure I've seen that benz before. I'm so pissed, my wife made me take a valium, lets hope he gets back before it wares off.

Edit: I knew it was him because I looked out my window to see him in his car which had been parked there all night. I then went to get my tools to remove my carb, and came out and my bike was parked at an angle.

Me to Hotel clerk: "Hi I left a couple of items there recently..."
Clerk; "Oh, you mean two jackets left on 3/27, one denim, one brown that says 'Qwest', in room 310?"
Me; "Exactly! Well, we were in 312 but those are the jackets!"
Clerk; "Oh, these say from 310, not 312. Gee, I don't know... let me transfer you to housekeeping, maybe they found something in 312..."
Two phone calls later they're sending our jackets. Seriously?
