This weekend on Saturday we were on a group ride and I saw a man and woman (without helmets!) ride into the parking lot of the Dallas Farmers Market on a GT and LX when we were readying our scooters for a group shot. I thought the man looked familiar. My husband immediately recognized him as the current Dallas Police Chief (not writing his name in this forum, don't want to "embarrass" him). Link below to our club gallery with the group photo that a nearby professional photog took for us and a quick snap of the chief and a woman (wife?) that a friend of mine took. It was a gorgeous day in Dallas on Saturday 1/7, with temps in the high 70s.

I've got one of the CDI's from the NYC police BV200 bikes. Apparently they bought the BV's and wanted them ALL keyed the same, so they pulled all of their original CDI's and ordered matching new ones for all the bikes. Since my GT was a salvage bike, it didn't come with a brown master key, so I couldn't make anymore spares, so I bought one of the NYC surplus CDI's from Scooterbobby.

LOL!! Thanks guys! I really do look dorky, but do not care either. I have been down (much younger, much dumber). broke several ribs, totaled the bike. This was on a dirt path, at around 20-25, no fun.
Toreador Pants (I am guessing all the gear all the time?) If so i agree 100%, Beale.

At Gary's request, moved the bulk of this discussion into the General Discussion area, under the heading Proper Riding Gear. Sorry for the threadjack, Lisa.

That's where it belongs
I'm very impressed with the moderating! No need to apologize, Jess. That's where it belongs now. Thanks Jess and Gary!
