Tomorrow I'm picking up my foot plates from my friend who got them power coated for me.

Can't wait. Should look much better in black if you ask me.

I'll post some pictures when I get them.
I'm surprized that not more people do that in the first place.
I'm not crazy about the way the silver looks.

I had mine powder coated black because I have a 250 with rubber floor mats and didn't like the silver on top of the black, the 500's have the silver diamond plate so I'm not sure how the black will go with them, please post pics when installed.

Zinfandel, where did you go for your floorboards, and what were your primary reasons for obtaining them?
Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the foot peg brackets then I got them from this thread

MP3 Footpeg brackets - old thread

My black rubber floor mats are standard issue on 250's and 400's.

I can see now that I'm reviewing the original post that Bikemor is having the silver footrests powder coated black and I was thinking he was talking about the foot peg brackets that rjeffb makes.

the floorboards are from the fuoco/ mp3 500 and they will fit on a mp3 125/250/300/400

you could let them be powdercoated

fot the back ones buy the whole assembly 3 pieces on one side

you need to buy parts 31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46

Here they are- pics posted
Maybe I called it the wrong name?
Floor Boards, Foot Rest??

I have them back and will post some pics a little later.
They look good. To my surprise they came out glossy black.
I figured they would be flat black. But they look cool either way.

So here they are, I had two issue pop up with installing them.
One, perhaps the finish added a little to the overall size but they dont want to settle down into the recess.
The second is the first bolt on the larger piece where your heel goes, it doesnt seem long enough to catch the threads? I went to the hardware store and got two longer bolts. I'll try them tomorrow.

BTW it is very cold out and it's hard to really play around with this.

What do you think? I like them, lets see how they hold up.
It would be cool to get some black bolts as well.

I like it - but I am curious how it holds up. Do you garage your bike? Mine lives under the eave of the house, so one side gets wet all the time.

The bad liner at Auto parts stores is junk and will wear off as fast as a paint would.
